Kettlebell Sport Competition Training Group

Join our kettlebell sport competition training group! That’s right, we will be hosting a kettlebell sport competition early next year, date to be confirmed. This will be Physical Culture’s first competition and very likely the first organised competition in New Zealand. Be a part of it!

Training for kettlebell sport is a lot like training for any other sport, you need to practice technique, build specific work capacity and also supplement your training with other modalities designed to develop a well rounded and healthy athlete. However the specific demands of the sport require special training methods which you are unlikely to come across at your average circuit class or rugby practice. That’s where we fit in.

The latest addition to our training calendar on a Saturday morning is the Kettlebell Sport Competition Training Group. This group will meet once per week with the sole focus of training towards your first kettlebell lifting competition. It will not be a ‘class’. You will receive personal guidance, coaching on correct technique, a training programme to follow each week and yes, even some homework! If you don’t have time for homework, you do not belong here.

I have thought long and hard about the fee structure for this group and in the end have come up with something that I feel will benefit everybody the most. There are no set fees. Membership to this group will be purely by donation. Give as little or as much as you desire. All proceeds will go directly towards the running of the competition.

I look forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions please contact us.

When: Saturdays at 8:30am

Location: Evolve Gym, 4a Fuji Court, Nelson
